Sheilah Wigant-McGee

Sheilah started a home base business creating original designs cast in cement in 1999. Her business has expanded into the fine art world by way of commissioned works in bronze. She has sculpted a total of 10 life-size bronze pieces. These include "The Holy Family" created for a prominent family in Davenport, Iowa and a larger than life Sacajaea with dog for Wildlife Prairie Park in Peoria, Illinois. Her latest work recently has been placed in the park of the city of Geneseo, Illinois and is of a "Pioneer Family" to represent the first settlers of the town of Geneseo, Illinois. Sheilah is currently working on a life-sized sculpture of a local prominent doctor by the name of Dr. James Parsons. He is responsible for starting Family Medical which is a group of local doctors caring for the people of Geneseo and the surrounding areas. It will be bronzed and displayed in the Geneseo City Park by May 2009. Many of her works, in a variety of media are in publlic and private collections across the country. She starteed creating sculptures for Warren Achievement Center in the fall of 2005 and has enjoyed being a part of a wonderful group of people working to help make other lives happier and healthier. Sheilah's studio is located at 125 North State Street, Geneseo, Illinois. Her studio is currently closed on Mondays. Business hours are Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am - 12:30, 1:30 pm - 5:00.
